Stock index futures were nearly flat as investors sought new catalysts to extend a recent rally that has taken index to record highs in recent sessions. In a sign of the weakening status of print media, The Washington Post, once worth billions of dollars will be sold for just $250 million to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. This deal comes on the heals of Red SOx owner John Henry purchase of The Boston Globe for $70 million and Newsweek's sale to colver $40 million in pensions. Stocks are slipping in early trading on Wall Street despite some positive news on the economy.The Dow Jones industrial average fell 88 points, or 0.6 percent, to 15,523 after the first hour of trading.
