Mobile Streaming Adds To Madness Of NCAA Tournament

Wochit 0:47 mins

Every year, the NCAA college basketball tournament gives employees a reason to goof off at their desks and root for their alma maters. But there's a growing source of potential headaches for bosses. Media companies like hosts CBS Corp. and Turner Broadcasting are doing all they can to promote their TV Everywhere services, which allow cable and satellite subscribers to watch live TV on smartphones and tablets while on the go - and on the job. Although people have long been able to stream games live over the Internet, employers have always had the option to block content to keep productivity high. That's harder to do when workers are bringing their own devices and using their cell phone data plans to engage in March Madness.
