NBC News Pop: Michael J. Fox Show Already Under The Spotlight

Landing a 22-episode order well before May's traditional pick-ups, The Michael J. Fox Show is one of the more high profile and long-gestating projects NBC brought to the Television Critics Association. And while the star has thus far received a warm welcome in his return to television, questions about his health (and how much humor can be found in it) dominated the panel discussion. NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt stressed that his desire is to keep Jay Leno ? who briefly exited The Tonight Show in 2010 to make room for Conan O'Brien ? in the NBC fold. He would not offer specifics, but noted that he's had discussions with Leno and would like to see him in a Bob Hope role as a kind of comedian emeritus. NBC announced that it will air a four-hour miniseries titled Hillary about Hillary Clinton starring Diane Lane as the former secretary of state. While no airdate has been set as the project is currently in the early stages, NBC's president Bob Greenblatt said the miniseries would likely air before Clinton formally declares herself as a presidential candidate in 2016.
