President Barack Obama met on Tuesday with a new five-member panel he appointed to review the privacy issues involved with U.S. government surveillance programs after a public outcry about privacy in the wake of leaks by a former spy agency contractor.
You can count President Barack Obama as a big fan of Lee Daniel's new movie The Butler. In a radio interview at the White House earlier today, the commander in chief revealed why he's such a big fan of the Civil Rights biopic. Hint: It's partly due to his good pal Oprah Winfrey! "You know, I did see The Butler, and I did tear up," Obama admitted. "I teared up just thinking about not just the butlers who have worked here in the White House, but an entire generation of people who were talented and skilled, but because of Jim Crow, because of discrimination, there was only so far they could go."
