Obamas return for summer stay on Martha's Vineyard

Wochit 0:56 mins

The first summer vacation of President Barack Obama's second term is taking him back to Martha's Vineyard, the well-heeled Massachusetts island he avoided during last year's re-election campaign. President Barack Obama announced plans to limit sweeping U.S. government surveillance programs that have come under criticism since leaks by a former spy agency contractor, saying the United States "can and must be more transparent." Responding to critics, President Barack Obama promised on to work with Congress on "appropriate reforms" for the domestic surveillance programs that have stirred criticism at home and abroad. He also said it is time to recalibrate the United States' relationship with Russia, which is harboring NSA secrets leaker Edward Snowden.
