PARIS Breaking News: Security Probe Launched After Activists Break Into French Nuclear Power Plant

Around 30 Greenpeace activists climbed fences to break into a nuclear power plant in southern France at dawn, saying they wanted to expose security flaws and demand its closure. Troops from 13 African countries who backed France in a war against al-Qaida-linked extremists in Mali marched with the French military during the Bastille Day parade in Paris to honor their role in the conflict. A powerful crane will start lifting smashed train cars over buildings to clear a railway line after a derailment killed six people and injured nearly 200 people south of Paris in what investigators believe may have been a case of equipment failure, authorities said.
