Paychex Witnesses a Boost in Small Business Paychecks

Paychex says its small business jobs index increases to 101.11 on the back of strong growth from the West North Central region. Paychex CEO Marty Mucci tells TheStreet's Joe Deaux that North Dakota jobs provided a spark as the energy sector continued to add jobs. Mucci says housing in Arizona helped as well. The small business jobs index measures companies with less than 50 employees. The Labor Department on Friday is expected to report the economy added 231,000 jobs and the unemployment rate remained at 6.1%. Mucci says seven strong months of their jobs index suggests nonfarm payrolls may post another better-than-expected report.
