Marcus Lemonis, CNBC Prime's "The Profit" host, provides a preview of this evening new episode.
Swiz: She hits the nail on the head as far as a real problem with America right now, people only talking to other people and only getting news that in both cases, reaffirms what they already know and believe. Whether is social media, personalized news or only watching msnbc/foxnews, we now have a country that cannot even agree on basic information because of it. I don't get how people can live like that but I understand I'm quite different then most people, but in order to think critically, you have to take in information from as many sources and from as many different views as possible, whether or not you agree with it. So being informed kinda made it so i couldn't agree with anyone because arguing with either side, left or right would lead to frustration over the lack of perspective on issues. So I'm in my own category I guess where i hate 99% of Americans for being ignorant in the age of the internet. The black lives matter movement is a great example of this. On the left all they see are the videos of unarmed men being shot, and on the right all they see are videos of the protests but since they don't have any news sources other than those that they always use, neither side can even understand the other. And this is why I hate both sides equally, because we all have the ability stay informed, I do not posses superpowers that allow me to use the internet in special ways that others cannot, so whats the excuse?
