Despite Sony's earlier claims that the company would not be offering a flash-based PlayStation 3 in North America, the device is on sale in Canada. Future Shop, a retailer in Canada, is currently selling a PlayStation 3 that boasts 12GB of flash storage. Sony previously said it had no plans to bring the console to North America. The rail firm involved in a tanker train disaster, that killed 47 people in a Quebec town last month, will be shut down because it does not have enough insurance to cover clean-up costs and other damages, a Canadian government agency said. The Canadian Transportation Agency said it would suspend the operating license of Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway, and its Canadian subsidiary, from August 20th to give the firms "time to arrange for the orderly cessation of their operations in Canada". ...
