Stocks managed to move higher on a quiet post-holiday trading session. With Europe closed and Boston traders shut down for the marathon, trading was muted. Gold closed at a two week low, while crude ended at a seven week high. A rumored deal between Pfizer and Astra Zeneca kicked off the day, but most of the trading centered around earnings from AMD, as well as positive analyst comments on IBM. Netflix traded down ahead of its earnings, with more on board for Tuesday.
