Apple will have a "very busy fall," Oppenheimer said, adding that he'd "like to leave it there and go into more detail in October." While many smartphone makers are reporting softer sales amid escalating competition, Apple posts strong performance in the quarter. Apple reported slightly better-than-expected fiscal third quarter revenue of $35.3 billion on solid sales of its flagship iPhone, sending its shares up 4% in after-hours trading, but fourth-quarter sales guidance fell short.
