Tesla posted a surprise profit of 20 cents a share for the second quarter on $405 million in revenue sending shares higher in after-hours trading.
BlackBerry confirmed that three executives have left or are in the process of leaving the Canadian smartphone maker. Senior VP of Manufacturing Carmine Arabia and VPs Doug Kozak and Graeme Whittington are leaving according to the company. BlackBerry is in the second phase of a restructuring effort that includes the recent closure of a Waterloo, Ontario testing facility.
Ralph Lauren Corporation has taken a hit, and is down $16.38 to $173.13 The luxury retailer's shares suffered their largest decline in more than a year after its outlook implies a weak quarter ahead. Comparable store sales also disappointed some investors. The Walt Disney Company is down as well, $1.14 to $65.91. The entertainment company says the cool reception for "The Lone Ranger" could lead to a loss in its fiscal fourth quarter.
