New York City mayoral candidate Bill Thompson conceded the Democratic primary race to front-runner Bill de Blasio on Monday, averting a runoff and clearing the way for de Blasio to campaign for the general election. (Sept 16)
sequiturial: Hillary Clinton's professional background makes her the most qualified presidential candidate in 150 years. She was First Lady of Arknsas, First Lady of the United States, a twice elected senator from one of the largest states in the union, and Secretary of State. D. Effing Trump, who has no experience in public service (and probably doesn't really have any interest in acquiring any) and doesn't seem to have a functional understanding of how government works, has set the bar pretty low. Hillary Clinton knows policy and understands how government and diplomacy works. There's no chance, at all, of Hillary Clinton upending international relationships or causing an economic collapse over perceived slights. She's not an overt racist. She hasn't incited her followers to commit acts of violence. Her message has remained consistent, throughout her career. It is a message of inclusion, hope, optimism, and progress into a future of prosperity and equality. Trump preaches the same old Confused Conservative dogma of divisiveness and authoritarianism. That's how low the bar has been set and THAT is the only bar that she has to clear. It is abundantly clear that she is way more prepared to run our nation than the overgrown neofascist manchild, D. Effing Trump.
