Apple took home top grades for "Brand of Year" for the second year in a row, according to the results of a Harris poll. Apple was tops among computer makers, followed by HP, Dell, and Sony. The iPad was No. 1 among tablets and the iPhone put Apple ahead of other mobile phone makers. British Prime Minister David Cameron has proposed the democratized world's most aggressive anti-porn laws. Unfortunately, in order to restrict access to something as ubiquitous as porn, he'll likely have to block most of the Internet. Apple may still be the most profitable consumer electronics company in the world, but Samsung's successful Galaxy S4 launch helped the South Korea-based giant top Apple in the second quarter to become the world's most profitable handset vendor. Samsung posted second-quarter results that included a record operating profit of $6.9 billion on $51.7 billion in sales.
