Despite the months of speculation that the future of Apple hinges on a rumored "cheap iPhone," it turns out this magic device already exists: when given the option to buy the brand newest, fastest, sleekest version of the iPhone, a lot of people choose a cheaper, totally decent version instead. During this week's earnings report, Apple posted better-than-expected phone sales not because of the fancy newish iPhone 5, but because of the iPhone 4 ? the cheapest and worst performing of the three Apple phones for sale these days. Almost exactly a month ago, Microsoft launched Internet Explorer 11 as part of the Windows 8.1 preview and now, it is also launching a developer preview of IE11 for Windows 7. One area Microsoft has focused on with this release is speed, including a much-improved JavaScript engine and a stronger emphasis on GPU hardware acceleration. Nokia has a new app designed to help Lumia users post their videos to YouTube. With the app, users can select and post their video onto YouTube directly, through the Photos app, or trim it with the Nokia Video Trimmer app and then post it.
