Talk about trying to cover bases. Korean news outlet ETNews reports that Samsung's Galaxy Note III isn't going to be an only child when it launches later this year -- instead, it will be joined by up to three siblings that will apparently debut at the same time. As expected, Apple released its third beta of iOS 7, exactly two weeks after it came out with the second iteration of the software for developers. The new version includes some general performance improvements and fixes a number of issues that had cropped up in the second beta, including problems with iCloud, AirPlay, and the Messages application. Sprint has jumped through the last hoop in its effort to buy the remaining stake in Clearwire, whose shareholders approved a deal in which Sprint, which owns about 50 percent of the company, would buy the remaining shares of Clearwire for $5 a share. The companies said the deal is expected to close on Tuesday.
