The new earnings season unofficially kicks off with financial results from Alcoa (AA) after the market closes. The aluminum giant is scheduled to reports its second quarter earnings. Alcoa is expected to post a rise in earnings from last year. Wall Street analysts are calling for a profit of 23 cents a share on revenue of $5.79 billion for the latest quarter, according to data by Thomson Reuters.
