White House Using Utility Companies to Pacify EPA Promises

by TheStreet.com Videos 1:44 mins

The White House could be considering asking utility companies to cut greenhouse gases by as much as 25%. The Obama administration is under pressure to prove to environmentalists that it will keep its promises. The easiest target is utility companies which are responsible for 40% of the carbon emissions. Mutual fund investors have been pouring into utility stocks pushing the utility ETF's higher and higher. For now, the rumor has not been confirmed.
