Zebra CEO: Pipeline Packed, NFL Deal a Direct Door to Fantasy Biz

Zebra Technologies beat Wall Street's Q2 earnings and revenue estimates due to broad strength across geographies and product lines, said the company's CEO Anders Gustafsson. Gustafsson added that the company is already seeing cost-saving and new product synergies from its $3.5 acquisition of Motorola Solutions in April. He said that the deal announced with the NFL this week to put RFID technology on players' equipment will open up a potentially lucrative opportunity in sports analytics. Finally, Gustafsson said retailers are gearing up for back-to-school season through the purchase of RFID and barcode technologies designed to speed up sales and better manage inventory.
