Moves: Ackman added 7.19 million shares of General Motors (GM) and 3.57 million shares of Howard Hughes Corp.(HHC) to his portfolio in 4Q 2010. His increased holdings include J.C. Penney (his most valuable position; Ackman joined the board in January 2011), General Growth Properties and Fortune Brands, while Target (TGT) and Kraft Foods are among his reduced holdings.
Borders, which has filed for bankruptcy, was the lowest performer in his portfolio, which has a heavy concentration in retail (27.75%), real estate (22.39%) and the industrial conglomerate sector (17.61%). Smaller holdings include financial (12.15%), food processing (10.76%) and the auto sector (4.65%).
