As Ben Bernanke presides over his last meeting as head of the Federal Reserve, many political and financial analysts wonder what his legacy will be. Will his rounds of quantitative easing be remembered in a favorable light? That probably depends on whom you ask.

For most, however, Bernanke’s legacy is non-existent.

It’s easy to get caught up in our finance wonk world and forget that to the majority of people on the street (that’s Main Street, not Wall Street) the name Ben Bernanke means almost nothing. Don’t believe us? We went out to Times Square in order to see for ourselves.
