Biden says he doesn't expect government shutdown 'unless somebody decides to be totally erratic'

President Joe Biden on Thursday said he didn't expect a partial government shutdown after midnight Friday, as lawmakers worked to keep the government open through mid-February. "I don't believe that will happen. We have everything in place to be able to make sure there is no shutdown," Biden told reporters, adding that he had spoken with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. "There is a plan in place, unless somebody decides to be totally erratic."
