Boeing and Embraer said Thursday the government of Brazil has approved their commercial aircraft joint venture. The approval of the $4.2 billion deal, first announced in July 2018, will position both companies "to accelerate growth in global aerospace markets," Boeing said in a news release. The approval comes after Brazil's new President, Jair Bolsonaro, was sworn in recently.
