Chicago-based Boeing inked a $27 billion deal with flydubai for hundreds of its MAX airplanes. Not to be outdone, France-based Airbus locked down a $49.5 billion order for 430 aircraft to Indigo Partners, marking its largest single announcement ever. “An order for 430 aircraft is remarkable, but it’s particularly gratifying to all of us at Airbus when it comes from a group of airline professionals who know our products as well as the folks at Indigo Partners do,” John Leahy, Airbus chief operating officer with Customers, Airbus Commercial Aircraft, said in a release.
