Will Valuations Stall Uptrend in COST, WMT, and TGT?

The stocks of the largest US retailers have shown a strong uptrend in the recent past, especially those of Target (TGT) and Costco (COST), which are up 36.8% and 30.7%, respectively, on a YTD basis as of September 10. Meanwhile, Walmart (WMT) stock, which is down 1.9% YTD, has also shown a steep recovery in the past couple of weeks, as the graph below shows. Meanwhile, both Target and Walmart have also reported their strongest comps growth in the last reported quarter, which is encouraging.
