American Airlines CEO says 'politics' to play role in Max return

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker told employees that "politics" may play a role in when the Boeing 737 Max returns to service, according to a report by CNBC. American Airlines Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: AAL) has 24 of the aircraft in its fleet, and has been waiting along with the rest of the industry for the Max to return to the skies. "I think as much as anything now it may be politics as much as the true certification ... safety issue.
