Ohio-based health care real estate company snags $50M Dominion portfolio

Toledo, Ohio-based Welltower Inc., a medical real estate investment trust, has bought a 335-unit senior living portfolio in the Dominion believed to be worth nearly $50 million, according to county records. Welltower (NYSE: WELL) closed this month on the 230-unit Watercrest at Dominion and its neighboring 105-unit Isle at Watercrest Dominion, which were last assessed together for $48.6 million, according to the Bexar County Appraisal District. The properties were sold by their developer, Dallas-based South Bay Partners.
