MOBILE, AL (WALA) - A busy week for Airbus officials continued Wednesday with outreach at a Mobile high school. Tuesday, the company re-branded Bombardier planes to be built at a new assembly line in Mobile as A220's. Then, Airbus announced Jet Blue signed a committment to buy 60 of those jets, again expected to be built in Mobile. Wednesday, quality assurance officials from Airbus joined mentors from other aerospace companies in the Mobile area help a group of students build their own airplane. More than a dozen students from the B.C Rain Aviation and Aerospace Academy are giving up some of their free time this summer to build a real airplane they'll actually have a chance to fly in.
