Bank of America Corp. chairman and CEO Brian Moynihan earned total compensation last year valued at $21.8 million — a 37 percent increase over 2016 — and also realized $18 million in value from the vesting of previously issued stock awards from past years. Moynihan’s pay rose mostly because Bank of America handed him higher stock awards based on the company’s performance. Last year's stock awards are the highest Moynihan has received since he became CEO in 2010.
