Treasury yields tick higher after Fed raises key interest rate by 0.25%

Treasury yields rose Wednesday after the Federal Reserve raised its benchmark fed funds rate by 0.25% to a range of 1.75% to 2%, as expected. The 10-year Treasury note yield rose 1.5 basis points to 2.972%. The 2-year note yield , sensitive to shifting expectations for Fed policy, picked up 2.9 basis points to 2.570%, while the 30-year bond yield was mostly unchanged at 3.095%.
