The Howard Hughes Corp. (NYSE: HHC) has revised its plan for the development of its 23-acre island on Lake Woodlands, which also has been renamed. Formerly known as Mitchell Island, named after The Woodlands founder George Mitchell, Aria Isle at East Shore will have 25 half-acre to 1-acre estate homesites as part of a high-end, gated community. The homes will be custom-built with no more than two stories and start at above $3 million, said Heath Melton, formerly Howard Hughes' executive vice president for master-planned communities in the Houston region and now president of The Woodlands-based company's Phoenix region.
