Delta Air Lines: Feeling The Pinch As Fuel Prices Keep Climbing?

In June 2016, we recommended Delta Air Lines (DAL) to readers of newsletter The Prudent Speculator, explaining, “DAL faced some significant hurdles after its merger with Northwest Airlines in 2007, especially related to fleet integration, union contracts (Delta was non-union, Northwest union) and differing organizational cultures. Although work remains to be done, Delta has mostly overcome the issues. Using low fuel prices and low cost of debt to its advantage, Delta has placed orders for more than a hundred new planes to replace aging aircraft in the current fleet.
