Disney tech could help people keep their eye on the ball at sports venues

One of Walt Disney World's often overlooked assets in the Orlando tourism market is its ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which hosts more than 65 events each year and draws crowds of teams and spectators to the region. A new Disney (NYSE: DIS) patent, dubbed "System and Method for Dynamically Tracking and Indicating a Path of an Object" is a way to use a system to generate 3-D tracking data that can show the trajectory of an object – say a baseball — and show a viewer some data about the traveling object. Here's some more detail from the patent: The technology would allow Disney's sports content to provide a deeper knowledge of the current action ongoing in a sporting event.
