Steve Jobs garnered plenty of recognition while be was alive. The White House announced Friday President Biden will posthumously award Jobs the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The honor recognizes Jobs' work not only at Apple, where he served as CEO from 1997 until his death in 2011, but also at Pixar, where he was the owner and CEO from 1986 to 2006 when Walt Disney Co. purchased it, and at Disney, where he served as a board member from the time of the acquisition until his death.
