Q1 slump doesn't dim Globus CEO's expectations for robotic surgery system

Despite a first quarter sales slump, Globus Medical continues to be "bullish" about its robotic-assisted navigation and surgical system.  The Audubon medical products company launched the system, called ExcelsiusGPS, in late 2017. The ExcelsiusGPS system, which costs slightly more than $1 million, combines a rigid robotic arm and full navigation capabilities to provide surgeons with precise trajectory alignment in minimally invasive spine surgery.
