Cisco Shares Rise After Company Posts Solid Earnings and Guidance

were rising after the company beat earnings and revenue estimates for its fiscal 2019 third quarter. Earnings per share came in at an adjusted 78 cents, beating Wall Street estimates of 77 cents. "Our strong performance in the quarter was across the business, reflecting our customers' confidence in our strategy, business model and market-leading portfolio," said Chuck Robbins, Cisco's chairman and CEO.
