Broadcom earnings and revenue beat analyst estimates

Broadcom Inc. on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $2.59 billion, or $5.93 a share, from $1.49 billion, or $3.30 a share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted earnings in the latest quarter totaled $9.07 a share. Revenue increased 23% to $8.1 billion. Wall Street analysts expected Broadcom to earn $8.72 a share on revenue of $7.91 billion, according to FactSet.
