• The White House said it was ending infrastrructure talks with a group of GOP Senators after failing to make progress, and President Joe Biden will turn to separate negotiations with a bipartisan group. Biden had been meeting with (R., W.V.) “He informed Senator Capito today that the latest offer from her group did not, in his view, meet the essential needs of our country to restore our roads and bridges, prepare us for our clean energy future, and create jobs,” said the White House press secretary, in a statement. Biden “offered his gratitude to her for her efforts and good faith conversations.”
