Colorado-based Boom Supersonic lands order from a major U.S. airline

Forth Worth, Texas-based American Airlines (Nasdaq: AAL) paid a deposit to secure up to 20 of Centennial-based Boom Supersonic’s Overture aircraft, and the order holds the option for American Airlines to add another 40 planes, the companies said. “Looking to the future, supersonic travel will be an important part of our ability to deliver for our customers,” said Derek Kerr, CFO of American Airlines. “We are excited about how Boom will shape the future of travel both for our company and our customers.”
