Exclusive: Dallas CEO dishes on new eatery concept headed to town

A former Kona Grill Inc. in Winter Park will soon give way to a wine-focused restaurant concept.  Dallas-based Front Burner Group Dining will transform the shuttered Kona Grill (Nasdaq: KONA) location at Lakeside Crossing at 110 Orlando Ave. into its Sixty Vines concept, CEO Steve Shlemon confirmed to Orlando Business Journal. It’s the first Sixty Vines outside of Texas.  The future restaurant’s proximity to Rollins College, in addition to the area’s high income levels, attracted Front Burner Group Dining to Winter Park, Shlemon said. The restaurant is expected to seat 275 people. “I find that to be the No. 1 suburb in Orlando for Sixty Vines brand,” Shlemon said.  No general contractor has been selected, but Front Burner Group Dining is in talks for an architect.
