Johnson & Johnson accepts $2.1B deal for LifeScan business

Johnson & Johnson said late Tuesday it has accepted the offer from Platinum Equity to buy LifeScan, Inc., its glucose-monitoring business and the maker of the OneTouch brand of products, for $2.1 billion. Johnson & Johnson said last week it had agreed to sell its Advanced Sterilization Products business to Fortive Corp. for $2.7 billion. Shares of Johnson & Johnson were flat in late trading after ending the regular session down 0.1%.
