A new protein flavor is coming to a Chipotle Mexican Grill near you: chicken al pastor, the chain’s take on the Mexico City classic. Chipotle’s new chicken comes marinated in the chain’s signature adobo seasoning, morita peppers, pineapple, and ground achiote—a red seed that gives al pastor its bright hue. Chipotle (ticker: CMG) first tested the protein flavor at 94 restaurants in Denver and Indianapolis last year.
