Major property owners in Friendship Heights, on both sides of the D.C.-Maryland line, have formed a business improvement district-like nonprofit as they aim for a "new vision and refreshed identity" for the neighborhood. The new Friendship Heights Alliance cemented its launch as a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization Nov. 16 with the election of a board of directors. Jad Donohoe, senior vice president of The Donohoe Cos., has been named chair and Chevy Chase Land Co. CEO John Ziegenhein vice-chair.
