Hawaiian Airlines voiced displeasure with the U.S. Department of Transportation's recent allocations of 12 flights to Tokyo International Airport, known as Haneda. "Hawaiian is objecting specifically to the allocation of two additional route authorities at LAX because Los Angeles already has more Haneda service than Honolulu, despite its much smaller market size," the airline said in a regulatory filing asking the DoT to reconsider its decision. Along with United Airlines, American Airlines Group Inc. (Nasdaq: AAL), was tentatively awarded a route from Los Angeles to Haneda.
