After 12 months of interviews, focus groups and data gathering, the Greater Washington Partnership releases Monday its much-awaited 10-year plan that details the region's challenges to inclusive growth and lays out recommendations for how to close racial gaps in education, housing, wealth, health care access and more. The regional business group's wide-ranging report contains 12 local and national case studies, 19 possible solutions and 57 recommendations for business, social and public sector leaders across six key pillars — education, workforce, access to capital, affordable housing, infrastructure and health equity. The CEO group's Inclusive Growth Strategy Council — formed in April 2021 and led by Salamander Hotels & Resorts CEO Sheila Johnson and Jason Wright, president of the Washington Commanders — was tasked with gathering dozens of regional business leaders and more than 45 major employers to help produce the report.
