Ford F-150 engine tech stolen from MIT profs, lawsuit claims

A new lawsuit filed on Jan. 30 by a trio of professors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology alleges that Ford stole technology used in its EcoBoost V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engines, which are found in the F-150 pickup and other models. As reported by Bloomberg, the group from MIT claims that Ford is using its dual port- and direct-injection technology without permission. Ford has had a longstanding relationship with MIT.
