GE Rises on Potential Deal for Jenbacher Unit

Shares of General Electric (GE) and Cummins (CMI) are higher on Tuesday, following reports that the latter, along with CVC Capital Partners, may be among the potential suitors for GE's Jenbacher unit. Bloomberg reports that Cummins and CVC are considering a bid that values GE's Austrian as engine maker at more than $3 billion, according to anonymous sources close to the situation.  However, they're not alone, as the report cites the private equity group EQT Partners and KKR & Co. (KKR) are also weighing a bid. GE is working with Citigroup and Credit Suisse on the sale, which is only in its early stages, Bloomberg reports.
