Pret A Manger now under same roof as Krispy Kreme in $2B deal

The billionaire family behind Krispy Kreme is taking over sandwich and coffee chain Pret A Manger in a $2 billion deal. The Reimann family, which invests through the German conglomerate JAB Holdings, bought the company as part of its quest to upend Nestlé in the coffee sector. JAB sees Pret A Manger, which has 58 locations in New York City, as a way to boost its own market share.
