Tech Today: Broadcom Scales Back, Liking ADI, AMD, NetApp's 'incredible' Flash

Feedback seems generally upbeat about such things as the company’s “Autonomous” database product. Raymond James’s Michael Turits reiterates an Outperform rating on the shares, writing that Oracle is “proceeding along a measured, if not currently rapid,  transition to cloud." Another wrinkle this morning in Broadcom’s (AVGO) hostile bid for Qualcomm (QCOM), the company today reducing its proposed nominees for Qualcomm’s board from 11 to just six. Back in early January, Broadcom sent proxy materials to Qualcomm shareholders, urging them to replace all 11 directors of Qualcomm’s board. This follows Broadcom CEO Hock Tan coming on CNBC yesterday morning to promote his effort, in advance of a meeting between the two firms that is expected to take place tomorrow.
