China's smaller cities help drive 'Golden Week' tourism

In the next five years, smaller cities' pace of consumption growth will surpass that of bigger cities in China, Xin Chen, China tourism analyst at UBS Securities, said in an interview Tuesday with CNBC. The number of travelers from six smaller Chinese cities more than tripled during this year's Golden Week holiday, according to data from Ctrip, a Chinese travel services company.
